Relationship & Family Counselling Victoria provides both in-person and online counselling through our clinic and Telehealth services.

We are also part of The ADHD Clinic based in Ballarat and offer a wide range of ASD and ADHD supports. Visit The ADHD Clinic

You can receive Relationship and Family counselling from the comfort of your own home, if travelling into the clinic is an issue. You can undertake your counselling individually, or as a couple or family. We also offer individual mental health counselling to help with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges.

Our therapy aims to validate your lived experiences. We will listen and aim to uncover the core of your relationship challenges while providing clarity on both past and present issues. We also support those experiencing domestic violence, coercive control, financial abuse and individuals who have doubts about the longevity of their relationship and want to either find solutions or stay or leave their relationship.

We provide you with a safe space to tell your story.

We encourage you to explore your individual narratives, previous modelled behaviour and core beliefs. We guide each session based on your needs. Each journey is unique to every couple, featuring creative active listening, fresh ideas, perspectives, and valuable insights about how you can move forward.

Your Relationship

Some people see us because they want to strengthen their relationship. Others want to rekindle their love for one another. Others need to tell someone that things aren't going well and need to confide in someone that can help. Each person that we see has a different story and that's okay. We'll work with your needs in mind to find a better way forward. For you and your family.

Your relationship will evolve as time goes on. It can sometimes be hard work to sustain an intimate relationship when hardships in life are encountered. You may need extra support during this time.

The way you interact with your partner may

also require adjustments over time.

Many relationship challenges stem from ineffective communication, unrealistic expectations,

poor decisions and sometimes, life just

throws lemons at you. Maybe you feel that you married the wrong person and now want to leave your relationship. Maybe your partner has changed over time and is abusing you. We see all sorts of issues that get in the way of people being able to feel good about their relationships.

Our relationship therapy delves into attachment styles, unproductive communication patterns, and strategies to rekindle your connection. We also look at coping strategies for when life isn't unfolding as it should and

you need extra support. We will support you if you have decided to leave your relationship.

Domestic Violence

Some couples pursue therapy to address unfolding challenges in their relationship. We can help with communication and better ways to demonstrate love in your relationship.

However, our clinic firmly believes that if there's evidence of significant domestic violence, we will never suggest that couples stay together, especially if you have children involved.

In fact, we are bound to report serious incidences

of domestic violence.

We prioritise our clients' safety by focusing on safe exiting and separation options. We also connect our clients with local support services, as verbal, physical, emotional, or financial abuse is never acceptable in a relationship.

You do not have to tolerate someone making you feel less-than in your relationship.
